Who’s Lynn Sumida?

...and what the heck does she bring to the
table as a coach and trainer?

 

I love this question because credentials alone don't really tell the whole story. I have a wealth of experience dealing with the messy, emotional side of coaching, AKA the personal stuff. My background is counseling, Masters Degree in Social Work, and as a counselor I worked with people who consistently sabotaged themselves in relationships, careers, health and in their addictive habits. I had a front row seat to see the multitude of ways people put on the brakes, veered off the path they had chosen, and in some way or other shot themselves in the foot.

The billion dollar question was… WHY? Really, why do people set an intention and then go in the opposite direction? Today I can answer that question AND I know what to do about it.

...so I bring to the coaching table a deep understanding of how people tick, an ability to quickly uncover the blocks which results in the sabotage patterns… and the tools to clear these blocks in a very short amount of time. In only 30 minutes I can show a person what's in their blind spot, and why their system is afraid of them getting what they really want.

My experience as an NLP trainer fine-tuned my skills so I could quickly locate the constrictions in a person's emotional system, and I developed a powerful and easy to learn process to clear these constrictions. In fact, I find coaches and consultants love this work because it’s a clear 4 session process that doesn't involve becoming a counselor. And…it is MUCH faster than traditional counseling.

As an NLP trainer I further refined my teaching skills so that every part of the training I offer is focused, specific, and elegant. Why take 10 steps if 5 will get you there faster? My experience as a Senior Faculty for the William Glasser Institute has taken me around the world teaching and training faculty in Australia, New Zealand, Colombia South America, England, Ireland and of course Canada and the US.
